The Slovak Literary Centre at the SAS summer school

A presentation of SLC projects for Slovak language lecturers at the Studia Academica Slovaca summer school.

The 60th anniversary edition of the summer school of Slovak language and culture Studia Academica Slovaca welcomes many participants from all corners of the world in Bratislava between 29 June and 16 August.

The central theme of this year’s edition has been titled Slovak Phenomenons in language, culture and society. The SAS summer school dates back to 1965 and is considered the oldest summer university for studying Slovak as a foreign language in Slovakia. Most of the attendees are students of Slovak and other Slavonic languages studying at universities abroad, as well as translators, interpreters, cultural workers and others.

The Slovak Literary Centre’s input into the summer school’s program includes a presentation aimed at projects for translators of Slovak literature, and popularization of the grant system SLOLIA for Slovak language lecturers.

The event takes place on Tuesday 13 August at 3:30 – 3:50PM as part of the Professional-methodological seminar for lecturers of Slovak language and culture in the premises of the Faculty of Arts, Gondova 2, Bratislava.
