Mika Laaksonen is a professional freelance multilingual translator and interpreter with over twenty years of experience in the field. He received his MA from the Diplomatic Academy of London, University of Westminster in 2010. He spent additional time studying at various foreign universities.
In 2012, he graduated from the University of Helsinki with an MA in West Slavic and Yugoslav Languages and Culture, and in 2014 he received an MBA from the Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki.
He is a multifaceted language and media diplomacy expert with a passion for literature, languages, and cultures. He is fluent in many languages (Finnish, Slovak, English, Swedish, German, Russian, Polish, Czech, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, Bulgarian, and Macedonian). He lives in Helsinki.
