Pištáčik

Reedition of the popular children's story with new illustrations. Pištáčik, the hero from the pen of a renowned author, is limited neither by age nor by setting; his only boundaries are those of the fantasy land and of his own childhood. A romantic with a wild imagination and a heart of gold, a young man rather than a boy, he understands the world of gardens, birds and jesting village know-it-alls. Together with his dog Čujko he discovers the world, fabricating stories as he goes along. His most famous invention is the memories machine. There is also Marcel, the grumpy busybody who spoils every fun. He lacks the wings Pištáčik is dreaming of. But even wings are too heavy for big dreams and so Pištáčik and his doggie fly across the world in giant soap bubbles. On one of his journeys, he manages to save a bottle of Andersen's ink and to become - at least for a moment - a writer. His adventures are plentiful and he learns that good and interesting people live everywhere. Still, the most beautiful thing in the world is to return home.
