ASPEKT is the educational and publishing organization focused on cultivation and sensitization to gender awareness. From 1993 to 2004 the feminist cultural journal Aspekt was published on many topics connected with feminism and gender. Since 1996 ASPEKT started also book publishing – both fiction and non-fiction. Thus far, many titles have been published on numerous topics in social sciences, as well as many Slovak authors' theoretical publications on various social and political phenomena and also translations from English, German, French, Polish etc., with many works of prose, poetry, children's books – together several hundred titles.
ASPEKT is not only a publishing house, but also an organization with many educational activities related to publishing, including seminars, lectures and workshops on specific topics. There is also available a specialized library which is located in the publishing house's facilities.
