Jakub Spevák (1996) comes from the village of Malachov in the Banská Bystrica district. He studied screenwriting and dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. He won awards in the literary competitions Poviedka, Akademický Prešov and Medziriadky. Currently he works as a program dramaturge and curator at the International Festival of Animated Films Fest Anča. The novella Po funuse is his debut book, illustrated by Slovak painter Andrej Dúbravský.
