VYDAVATEĽSTVO FRAGMENT was founded in Slovakia in November 2004 as a subsidiary of Nakladatelství Fragment, s. r. o., which has operated in the Czech Republic since 1991, and which is presently among that country's most sought-after publishers. During its existence. The company has published more than 800 titles, predominantly literature for children and young people, belles-lettres, popular educational literature, workbooks, pop-up books, sticker albums, textbooks and dictionaries. In addition to printed books, the firm also publishes in electronic format.
