Curriculum vitae

He studied classical studies and German language at the University of Bordeaux III and in Paris IV. He also studied theatre and opera singing at the conservatoire in Bordeaux, at École Normale de Musique in Paris and at the conservatoire in Créteile. He is a professor of classical studies at the academies in Bordeaux, Lille and Paris. He felt motivated to study Czech and Slovak after he made the exciting discovery of these two cultures through multiple stays - first in Czechoslovakia, then in the Czech republic and in Slovakia - and through Czech music (especially Janáček).
